I've been a notetaker for the past couple of years and it has been a very rewarding experience to help others by taking good notes and uploading them in a timely manner. It also holds me accountable to my notetaking and causes me to review my notes on at least a weekly basis.

It was a great experience getting to meet the visitors that we had coming from out of state and out of the country, as well as our very own right here in central Arkansas! I think better communication for the volunteers could have been addressed and maybe providing water for those volunteering in the direct sun. However, there was plenty of merchandise for those coming in and we were able to hand out as much as we needed!

I love getting to help people by using notes I am already taking in class. It also makes me more conscious to take good notes each and every class session because I know someone besides me is going to use them.

Assisted in making Christmas cards and bereavement cards for Hospice families who have lost a loved one in the past year.

Visited with hospice patient in his home. Held conversation and put together puzzle.

Helped patient organize dishes in her home and assisted in rearranging and organizing her garage so that she could better access her belongings and have a safer space to navigate.

Socialized with hospice client at her home, providing companionship while spouse ran errands.
