UCA Eclipse Volunteers

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will be visible across a large expanse of central Arkansas, with the University of Central Arkansas squarely in the path of totality. The University of Central Arkansas campus and thousands of our friends will come together to celebrate almost four minutes of complete darkness during the eclipse.

We are in need of a few “helping hands” to ensure our watch parties are safe and enjoyable for the campus and our visitors. Please consider pitching in to help with one or both watch parties as part of your work assignment for the day. You can find more information on our staffing needs and sign up to help by viewing the available shifts. Students are also invited to volunteer. 

Example activities that you can help with include handing out eclipse glasses, serving as a parking lot attendant, handing out food at Barkanalia, assisting with activities on the football practice field or serving as a gate attendant at Estes Stadium. Those that sign up will sign up for a shift and will not expected to serve in this capacity all day long.

A volunteer orientation will be held for Estes Stadium Watch Party volunteers on Friday, April 5th from 10-11:30am. More information will be provided to volunteers prior to the event.
