Literacy Tutors needed for Arkansas students!

Become an AR Kids Read (AKR) volunteer and join other community members collaborating to meet Arkansas students' literacy needs!

AKR recruits, trains, and mobilizes volunteer tutors (16 years or older) with school-aligned evidence-based curriculum, educational coaching, and mentorship for students in grades 1-3. No previous teaching or literacy experience is necessary. AKR tutors commit to serving for one school year and meet once a week, for an hour, with the same two students in a one-on-one setting.

The tutoring program is adapted to both school and after-school settings within six school districts.
