Sign up today for the Big Event, UCA’s biggest day of service! The Big Event brings together UCA students, faculty, and staff to say thank you to our neighbors and the nonprofit organizations that make Conway an amazing place to live and learn.
Please be aware of the following information for the Big Event 2023:
- Kickoff will take place at the football field at 8:00 am on March 11th, 2023. All volunteers will check in at kickoff and meet their team leader before reporting to their service site.
- All volunteers will be assigned a team leader who will be responsible for sending out communications about the job you're assigned, service site address, and reminders and updates prior to the event. The team leader will also bring any needed tools and your Big Event t-shirt to the service site and ensure that your service hours are reported accurately.
- Jobs may take place indoors or outdoors, if weather and COVID restrictions allow. If you have any needs related to your service site or type of job (for example, pet or seasonal allergies), you will be able to indicate those needs on the registration form.
- Anyone can volunteer, even if you are not affiliated with UCA!
- All volunteer registrations are approved pending project availability.
The deadline for team leaders to sign up is Sunday, February 5th. A mandatory Team Leader Training will be held on Thursday, February 9th at 6:00 pm in Ronnie Williams Student Center Room 213.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
