About

The Pullman Senior Citizens Association is a non-profit board-led group of active seniors dedicated to serving their senior members. The senior members pay a yearly membership and the PSCA provides programs for their members in partnership with The Pullman City Recreation Department offering Volunteer Opportunities, Center Support, Fund-raising Activities, and Leadership Positions. The PSCA provides a monthly birthday party, member meetings, potlucks and special events. They also host and support health & wellness opportunities including: wellness talks, yoga classes and senior exercise classes.

The Association works out of the Pullman Senior Center, which is in the department of the Pullman Parks and Recreation Department.  They also partner with the Council on Aging, nutrition programs, SHIBA (Medicare) Program and other Aging Programs. Activities and games provided at the center include: Bunco, Bridge, Hand & Foot Canasta, Bingo, Video Game Bowling, puzzles and various other interests. 

The Pullman Senior Center is the promoting force of social, cultural, spiritual, economic, physical, and mental well-being of citizens in the community with particular attention to the older age group! The Senior Center does not require an annual membership. The Pullman Parks and Recreation Department Senior Center is run by the City of Pullman under the leadership of the Senior Citizens Center Coordinator. The coordinator plans and schedules all trips, activities, programs and events serving the entire Pullman senior and “active adult” community. 

The Senior Center Coordinator, is an employee of the City of Pullman and is responsible for providing planning, scheduling, reserving accommodation, purchasing tickets, making reservations, escorting, driving, etc... for all “Active Adult” programs. The coordinator also manages the senior center and all activity involved with the operations of the senior center. In addition, the coordinator advocates for the Association (PSCA) reaching out to the community to provide resources for their organization and the senior community as a whole.
