About
Our After School and Summer Camp programs are volunteer-led and supervised by an out-of-school-time professional, with the goal of breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty of children within the boundaries of the Ogden School District.
During the After School session and Summer Camp, we set aside time for active tutoring to fill critical gaps in each child's Early Education development, with a focus on Mathematics and English Language Arts. We help students with homework, we offer enrichment activities involving various subjects and/or crafts such as painting and music instruction, and physical conditioning through play. All of our student-client services are free of charge.
We are built on education, remedial and tutorial services, so we are not a childcare service; however, there is still an application process. We also require a formal internal application process, interview, background check, completion of our mandatory Safe Environment training, and a brief orientation. In the event you do not hear back from the event coordinator within one business day, please contact via email at thomasruffing@givemeachanceutah.org or call 801-621-4169. Thank you!
