Responsibilities:

Accompanied by a Community Cats staff member, drive the Tree House van to scheduled pickups or dropoffs at clients’ homes in Humboldt Park. Duties include assisting maneuvering pets into and out of van for transport, cleaning and disinfecting the van post transport, and if seated as a passenger, calling clients to confirm pickup time and counsel on post spay/neuter care. 


Physical requirements:

Comfort sitting and driving for prolonged periods and in potentially poor traffic and/or weather conditions, ability to lift 50+ lbs to maneuver animals into and out of the vehicle, ability to work with and around cleaning solvents & chemicals, ability to engage with demographically diverse populations with sensitivity and care. Experience and comfort working with vulnerable populations preferred.

This role is 18+. A valid driver’s license is required for this role. Spanish speaking preferred.

Available Shifts (role to begin in June, exact date TBD):

7 am-12 pm, Tuesday/Thursday, one shift per month

3 pm-7 pm, Tuesday/ Thursday, one shift per month
