My name is Maddie Henshaw, I am currently a senior here at UCA. I am working on completing my honors capstone project centered around the homeless community! This October I will be celebrating Socktober! Socktober is a national sock drive to help collect socks for our homeless neighbors. Over 600,000 people are forced to sleep on the streets each night across the United States. One of the most needed but least donated items to shelters and local charities is socks. With colder months approaching socks are especially needed!
I will be celebrating Socktober October 1-15 and with your help hope to donate over 500 pairs of socks! The Van, a local organization that provides direct support to our homeless communities, will distribute the donated socks to our neighbors.
