Amigo Fest celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month at UCA, which gives our Hispanic students, faculty and staff a sense of belonging. The Office of Diversity and Community is delighted to have the opportunity to share critical Hispanic culture elements with the central Arkansas community to engage with and learn from. Previous years, the Amigo Fest included free health screenings, a children’s area with bouncy houses, a balloon artist and more, as well as authentic Mexican and Venezuelan food for purchase. there is also live entertainment such as a mariachi band, salsa dancers and folkloric dancers and performers. You must be able to volunteer two full hours in order to have your volunteer time and receive a t-shirt and food tickets. - Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
